Configure a Connection Without Authentication
No authentication means that connecting to the service requires no account, key, or user sign-in and authorization. After an administrator configures the connection, users can enable and use it by following the page instructions.
This method applies to capabilities the service provider allows users to access directly, such as public product information queries. Consult the provider's integration instructions to determine whether authentication is required.
Business Example: Find Conversation Starters in a Customer's Public Financial Reports and Announcements
Before visiting a publicly listed customer, a sales representative wants to understand its recent business performance, priorities, and plans to build factories, expand distribution channels, or increase investment. This information is often spread across the company's website, public financial reports, and announcement pages, requiring individual searches, reading, and organization.
If the organization connects an MCP service for public information queries that requires no credentials, sales representatives can enable the connector and ask WinNexo to search relevant web pages and compile information for their customer visits.
Administrator Configuration
The following example creates a “Customer Public Information Query” connector. All names, URLs, and configuration values are examples.
Method 1: Configure MCP Manually
- Open the creation page. In the Admin Console, go to Capability Center > App Connections, click New Connection in the upper-left corner, and select Configure MCP Manually.
- Enter the connection information. Select the transport type according to the provider's instructions and set the other fields as needed.
| Setting | Example | Instructions |
|---|---|---|
| Connector URL | https://mcp.example.com/public-info/mcp | This is an example URL. Replace it with the actual MCP service URL. |
| Headers | Leave blank | This service requires no credentials, so no authentication information is needed. |
Method 2: Configure MCP with JSON
Click New Connection, select Configure MCP with JSON, paste the following configuration, and replace the service URL with the actual URL:
{
"mcpServers": {
"客户公开信息查询": {
"type": "streamable-http",
"url": "https://mcp.example.com/public-info/mcp"
}
}
}Where:
客户公开信息查询is the connector name and can be changed.- Replace
urlwith the actual MCP service URL. - Set
typeaccording to the provider's instructions. This example usesstreamable-http; usessefor SSE. - This example requires no authentication, so do not add
headersor credential parameters.
Test and Save
After completing either configuration method, click Test Connection. Once the test succeeds and you confirm that the system identifies the connection as No Authentication, follow the page instructions to save it and confirm that the connector is enabled.
User Instructions
After the administrator completes configuration, users can find and directly use the app connection under Capability Center > App Connections > Enterprise App Connections.
