Quickstart
Just activated WinNexo and want your Digital Worker running in 10 minutes? Start here.
A Digital Worker is your work partner: the data and Skills you provide determine the business it understands and the tasks it can perform. Complete these four steps to get started.
If you have already completed the basics, go to Advanced Usage for deeper customization.
Create your first position
Create a basic position in the Admin Console by entering a name and selecting an avatar. No advanced configuration is required.
Admin Console > Positions > Create Position
Provide the following basic information:
| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Position name | Must start with a letter; only lowercase letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens are allowed | sales_assistant |
| Position display name | Name displayed in Chinese | Sales Assistant |
| Avatar | Choose from the avatar library | Choose an approachable avatar |
| Description | Describe the role's responsibilities in 1–2 sentences | Customer profiles, opportunity follow-ups, and renewal alerts |
Click "Admin Console" in the upper right, select "Positions" on the left, then click "Create Position" in the upper right.
Enter a name and display name, select an avatar, and write a short description. Skip the advanced options for now; you can return to customize them later.
Review the information and click Save. Your position is ready. Next, give it your business knowledge.
Add a Knowledge Base
Give your Digital Worker documents, meeting notes, and chat history from across your organization. It will reference this knowledge when answering questions.
Admin Console > Knowledge Bases > New Knowledge Base
The platform supports four ways to add knowledge:
| Method | Supported content | Action |
|---|---|---|
| File upload | PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, images, audio, and video | Drag and drop files; maximum 2 GB per file |
| Office documents | DingTalk and Feishu online documents | Paste a link for automatic synchronization |
| Meeting recordings | Meeting notes and customer interviews | Upload audio or connect a recording source |
| Online notes | Quick notes | Edit directly in the platform |
Very large files close to 2 GB take longer to parse, and some formats may not support online previews.
Select "Knowledge Bases" in the Admin Console navigation and click "New Knowledge Base". Enter a name and description, select associated positions, set visibility, and click "Create".
Open the Knowledge Base, click "Add Knowledge", and choose a source to upload content in bulk. Parsing starts automatically, with statuses progressing from "Waiting" to "Processing" to "Success".
Start a Chat
Once configuration is complete, return to the workspace to use your Digital Worker through natural language.
Workspace > Central chat area > Input box
Click the icon in the upper left of the Admin Console to return to the workspace home page. Select your new Digital Worker in the upper left.
Describe your question in the input box. The Digital Worker performs visible, multistep reasoning and generates a response. You can ask follow-up questions.
Use @ to select knowledge in a Chat. The Digital Worker automatically references its linked Knowledge Bases when answering questions and running Skills.
The platform provides general-purpose Skills. Select one using the shortcut buttons below the chat area, or describe your task in natural language for automatic matching.
Try these ways to interact with your Digital Worker:
- Ask directly: How many new key-account leads did we get last week? Break them down by industry.
- Add context with @: Write a follow-up email for the most recent visit to @Customers/Example Technology.
- Invoke a Skill with /: /Generate PPT — use the sales review we discussed in the previous round.
Create a scheduled task
Let your Digital Worker handle recurring work automatically. Once a scheduled task is configured, you can focus on results and exceptions.
Left navigation > Automated Tasks > Add Task
Describe the task in natural language, such as "Every day at 9 a.m., generate yesterday's key-account follow-up report and send it to the sales group." The system parses the request automatically. Select relevant Skills as needed.
Open "Scheduled Tasks > Execution Records" to view the time, status, and results of each run.
Open "Left navigation > My Outputs". Documents generated by scheduled tasks and Chats are collected here. Filter by type and time, then download or share them for reuse.
Best practices
One Digital Worker per position
Avoid using one worker for every scenario. Assign a single responsibility to each position for more focused answers and clearer permission boundaries.
Start using it, then refine it
You do not need a perfect configuration. Connect the basic Knowledge Bases and Skills and put your Digital Worker to work. Add knowledge and adjust settings based on real conversations; this is more effective than trying to anticipate everything up front.
Review regularly
As your business evolves, update your Digital Worker configuration. Every two weeks, review answer quality and check whether the Knowledge Base needs updates.
