Analysis Views
Analysis Views organize cross-object and cross-table analytical definitions into reusable dimensions and measures. They suit stable cross-sectional analysis, letting positions query and explain results using a consistent structure.
Understand this capability
Each Analysis View has four elements:
| Element | Description | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Physical table | The underlying data table, typically a preaggregated wide table | One table |
| Dimensions | Fields for slicing, grouping, and filtering, such as region, month, product line, or department | Up to 40 |
| Measures | Numeric fields for calculations, such as amount, quantity, ratio, or work hours | Up to 200 |
| Analysis View description | An LLM Description explaining the view's purpose and use cases | Required |
For analytical questions, a position scans descriptions of all authorized Analysis Views. When it finds a match, it queries the view's dimensions and measures directly, avoiding live Object Graph joins.
