Edit Graphs and YAML

Choose a View

In Ontology Model, Graph View helps you understand relationships between objects. List View helps you find definitions by type and name. Before maintaining definitions, confirm the version: select Draft Pending Publication to edit, or select a published version to view the definitions currently in use.

Maintain the Draft

Open an element's Edit action to maintain its business definition and attributes. Switch to View YAML in the form to check the definition. To maintain the complete model, open Manual Construction Mode from the ontology operation menu and select Form Construction or YAML Mode.

After saving a draft, changes must go through Validate and Publish to take effect. Continue checking physical table and field associations in Data Mapping. Saving a model does not mean its data is ready to query.

Check YAML

Keep the original definition before editing. Check object identifiers, attribute types, and references. In YAML Mode, consult Examples and Specifications, then save a draft. Review the scope of changes before publishing to avoid overwriting definitions still in use.
