Understand this capability
Business Logic has four types, classified by purpose:
Business Process (process)
Describe a complete process, including start and end states and key stages. Examples include product development, project acceptance, and contract signing.
Logic (logic)
Define business criteria and calculations for data filtering and derived calculations. Examples include VIP customers, online-payment contracts, and high-risk projects.
Rule (rule)
Set business constraints and validation rules for data consistency, such as requiring a resolution before closing a risk or validating milestone dates.
Metric (indicator)
Define key measurements and formulas, such as GAAP completion rate, project risk count, and milestone completion rate.
All four are executable definitions combining a natural-language description, associated objects, and AI references.
